Make Ahead Mashed Potatoes

This recipe is uber simple but it’s the best thing I’ve ever made for my husband. The bonus is that you can prepare everything the day before Thanksgiving day to help cut down on overall food prep time.
Make Ahead Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients
- 5 lbs. potatoes
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 8 oz. sour cream
- 2 t. onion salt
- 1 t. garlic powder
- 1 t. salt
- 2 T. butter
Directions
Boil potatoes and mash adding other ingredients. Spread butter in 9×13 pan. Spread potatoes over and top with 2 T. butter. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
NOTE: these may be made a day ahead. Spread ingredients into pan but do not bake. When ready to use, bake 30-40 minutes at 350.
